Senior High Leadership
Grades 9-12

The Leadership track provides campers with an opportunity to grow as servant leaders. Along with the guidance of their counselors and the Program Director, these campers will gain skills leading games, teaching bible studies, and experiencing different leadership styles. In addition, the SHL camper will undertake a project for the betterment of Calvin Center, leaving behind a legacy for future staff and campers. Past projects have included (but are not limited to): repairing walking bridge to Lakeside Worship, building reflection benches around Calvin, building horse hitching posts, and building the Peace Pole area. This camp is ideal for the camper who wants to work for Calvin, for other summer camps, or for servant leadership roles. Ideally, two years of SHL (9-10 grades) will lead to Counselor-In-Training (11-12 grades).
Cost: $350
Senior High Vital Camp
Grades 9-12

This camp is a brand new offering for the 2026 season! Camp Calvin excitedly brings you “Vital Camp!” Too often, schools teach a very specific curriculum that doesn’t include practical matters, such as how to change a tire, how to cook simple and fast meals at home, how to
accomplish household care like fixing holes in the wall, or financial literacy. We aim to offer a camp that teaches practical skills in the camp setting so that campers will never find themselves saying, “I don’t really know how to cook vegetables…” By choosing Vital Camp, we are offering a week in which your camper will grow in their practical knowledge of important skills that they can use in the real world.
Cost: $545
Counselor-In-Training (CIT)
Grades 11-12

This option is the culmination of the SHL program for campers who have grown through previous years of SHL or are appropriately aged for the camp. Unlike other camps, this option is more closely tied to summer camp counselors and younger camps, like Day or Adventure Camps. The CIT will partner with a co-counselor pairing and will act as a supervised third or fourth counselor and be responsible for leading games and facilitating activities. They will be offered an opportunity to lead a bible study. This camp gives CIT campers an opportunity to showcase all the things that they have learned previously. CITs will have an opportunity to meet with the Program Director in order to provide continued teaching, vent frustrations, and discuss possible solutions to weekly problems. The cost of CIT program covers meals
and accommodations for the week. **CIT campers will not be treated as a full adult counselor, and will never be expected to or allowed to be alone with children, adults, or Calvin staff.**
Cost: $250
