Mission Work Camp allows your group the opportunity to reach out with the love of Jesus Christ through fellowship and service. Through an established connection with Meals on Wheels, elderly home owners are identified that need help with home renovations. Typical projects consist of painting, simple carpentry, yard work, and cleaning. In addition to repairing the homes of some very deserving people, you have the opportunity to connect with the homeowners and hear their amazing life stories. Seeing people of all ages come together to build, reconstruct, listen and talk is a very powerful way to live out Christ’s call for us to be people of word and deed.
Each morning begins with worship/group devotion, spend your day at the work site and return to Calvin Center each afternoon where recreational activities are provided for you (i.e. high ropes course, canoeing, archery, and swimming). Close each day with worship and fellowship time. All your meals are provided as well as a skilled job site supervisor, building materials and all the tools. Wednesdays is your day off where you might plan events such as the local Six Flags, Stone Mountain or other Things to Do in Atlanta.
Calvin Center Mission Work Camp… we take care of all the details, you just need to show up with willing hands and heart. Mission Work Camp is a valuable way to introduce mission to all ages, or continue the work of Jesus Christ year after year with a long lasting impact on all involved.
