Capture your inner artist in the subtle, graceful shapes and tones of watercolor. Noted watercolor artist Barbara York provides intimate lessons in this delicate craft. Artists of all skill levels will discover observation and composition techniques as they hone their skills in daily workshops. With studios open 12 hours daily and the surrounding countryside at your disposal; flexible schedules give free reign to your creative impulses. By the end of your studies, you will have a greater appreciation for both art and the nature that inspires so much of it.

You have always wanted to do it, so come to Atlanta and learn The Art of Stained Glass. Noted artisan Mark Lender, will guide glass cutters of all skill levels through the design, construction and enjoyment of sun catchers, window panels and many other unique creations with copper foil and lead. Topics covered include proper design techniques, glass cutting, soldering, glass types, and construction of both two and three-dimensional glass objects.


Interim Pastor Training Level I and II

DATES: Monday, January 12- Monday, January 16, 2009

Interim Pastor Training is an excellent opportunity for leaders to hone skills such as how to say hello and goodbye in healthy ways, to help congregations heal and gain tools for understanding their congregation.

Level 1
Participants will be introduced to and reflect on:

  • Theological and biblical content for Interim Ministry
  • The developmental tasks of the congregations
  • The process tasks for the interim pastor
  • Leadership and conflict management styles
  • Ethics, boundaries & self- care for the interim pastor

Level 2
Participants will reflect on their interim experience by:

  • Peer group learning through preaching and integrated learning experiences
  • Reflecting on the congregation as a system
  • Reflecting on your leadership style
  • Expanding your development as an interim pastor
